Teagan Jade Ferguson: Terrence John Bice admits manslaughter

A father has admitted killing his daughter following her death 15 years after he brutally bashed her as a toddler.

Terrence John Bice, 40, critically injured his two-year-old daughter Teagan Jade Ferguson by violently throwing her to the ground when she wouldn’t stop crying.

She suffered traumatic brain injuries that left her with serious health conditions for the rest of her life.

She entered end-of-life care at Perth Children’s Hospital in 2015 and died in 2020 at the age of 18.

Bice was charged with murder in 2021 as police said the injuries inflicted upon Teagan eventually led to her death.

He pleaded not guilty to murder and was due to face trial, but on Thursday pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

He will be sentenced in August.

Bice previously admitted causing grievous bodily harm to Teagan in 2005 and was jailed for five years.
