Farmer Wants A Wife fan favourites David and Emily are engaged

Popular Farmer Wants A Wife couple David and Emily are set to walk down the aisle.

They shared the exciting news on Instagram, with David writing that “this Farmer has found his Wife” alongside a picture of the happy couple.

He also opened up about the memorable moment to Yahoo Lifestyle, explaining that he’d chosen to get down on one knee at Evamor Valley in Mudgee – the same place they’d had their 24-hour solo date – as it’s where he’d first realised he was in love.

“There was a moment at Evamor, when we were having a glass of wine as the sun was setting and I just knew this was something special,” David told the publication.

“So, it was really important for me that when l asked Em to marry me, it had to be at Evamor Valley – the spot is just such a special part of our journey.”

The fan-favourite couple, who met during the 2023 season of the show, have been together for almost a year.

Brisbane-based Emily relocated to the rural town of Pozieres, which is three hours inland from the Gold Coast, to be with David after filming wrapped on Seven’s matchmaking series late last year.

Opening up about the big move in May, special education aide Emily admitted she’d been “a little bit anxious”.

“I was a little bit anxious that I really wanted to find, you know, my career and life here,” Emily told 7Life at the time.
